Language Focus

Ces quantificateurs sont utilisés devant les noms dénombrables.

“MANY” et “ A LOT OF” déterminent un grand nombre; “A FEW”, un petit nombre.

These quantifiers are used before countable nouns.

MANY” and “A LOT OF” signal a large number, while “A FEW” signals a small number.

  • There are many reasons for our decision.
  • We have a lot of alternatives.
  • They have a few problems.
  • She has a lot of free time.

“FEW” sans l’article “a” indique un nombre en quantité insuffisante.

Dans les phrases affirmatives, “MANY” est souvent remplacé par “A LOT OF”.
